Renner made her first Olympic appearance in 1988 in Nagano. She earned a silver medal in the 2006 Torino games with teammate Beckie Scott in the team sprint, despite breaking a pole during the race.. Her best individual finish was 8th place in the same Olympics in the 10k classical event.
Look out for Renner in the individual sprint and the 30k mass start, for those are her two best chances for gold.. She is married to retired alpine skier and four time Olympian Thomas Grandi, and has a daughter, Aria.
