Ben Koons
Koons didn't start skiing until moving to Maine, USA at the age of 14, where he found it just came naturally. He qualified for NCAAS his first year skiing for Dartmouth and just barely missed qualifying for the Turino Oympics at a mere 19 years old.
Koons graduated from Dartmouth with an environmental engineering degree, and has worked in Rwanda with the United Nations developing sustainable energy sources and providing help at a rural health clinic. His goal for Vancouver is to "represent New Zealand to the best of my ability and maybe a little more."
