Ali Schneeman is from St. Paul, MN and is currently a junior at Northwestern University.  She is majoring in Communications Studies while double-minoring in Gender Studies and International Studies.  Ali plays on the Northwestern Women's Soccer team and has been an athlete her entire life.  Not only are sports a huge part of who she is, international studies are a huge interest for her.  She hopes to join the Peace Corps and become fluent in Spanish post-college.  In her free time, she loves biking around the Chicago area, photography, beaches, and traveling anywhere.  Ali is very excited to intern with GreenLaces and help care for the planet!

Kay Sampson is a Senior at Northwestern University majoring in Environmental Science, the scientific study of the natural world and the impacts humans have on it.   The program is closely associated with Environmental Engineering and Environmental Policy.

Kay is a member of Northwestern’s Womens Varsity Soccer team.  Sampson was born and raised in San Francisco, California and started playing soccer at age five.  With an older brother constantly challenging her, Kay not only learned how to play hard on the field, but also think critically about the world around her.

Viki Arias is a recent graduate of Drake University with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. A sports fanatic and soccer player her entire life, Viki is looking to get into sports communications and marketing post graduation. Her favorite teams are any team from Chicago and hopes to work for one of them one day. As she became interested in environmental studies after taking several courses on it in college, she is excited she can put her interests of sports journalism and the environment together to help GreenLaces make an impact on the world around it.

Ashley O’Brien grew up in Broad Brook, Connecticut, and graduated from the nearby UCONN, with a degree in Business Marketing, specializing in professional sales. She is now at the University of San Francisco, getting her masters in Sports Management. Ashley played soccer for both schools, and will be finishing up her final collegiate year of play in the fall of 2010 with the San Francisco Dons.  Her passion for sports will hopefully translate into a career in the sporting industry, wherever her futures endeavors may lead her. Ashley is excited to join the Greenlaces team and help support a worthwhile cause.

I Ashley O’Brien, pledge to take a reusable drinking bottle with me whenever I leave my apartment, and shut off all lights. “
